You may remember last week I showed you how to enable live bookmarks for feeds that your DotNetNuke module may be creating. Once nice option for feed delivery is FeedBurner integration. FeedBurner can offer a lot of value added services to your feeds delivery and help ensure availability as well. At a very high level what we want to happen is that when anyone requests your feed we check the user agent. If the user agent is FeedBurner then we serve up the feed as normal. However, if the user agent is not FeedBurner then we want to redirect the request via 301 Moved Permanently to the correct FeedBurner feed. On a clients site we were receiving complaints of ‘$0’ showing up in peoples posted content. After a bit of research we narrowed this down to an issue with older versions of the Telerik RadEditor rich text editor and the Google Chrome browser. You can read the thread on the Telerik forums here. According to Telerik staff this was resolved in the SP2 release of RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX Q2 2008. So updating the installed version of RadEditor should resolve the issue.
