Brief History
In early 2000, Bryan Andrews and Richard Leslie founded the brand innovation agency Trend Influence in Atlanta, GA. Trend Influence was a mixture of brand, product and digital innovation working on projects globally for some of the most well-known brands in the world.
In the 11 years since its inception, Trend Influence and its digital division “AppTheory” have been on the forefront of technological innovation executing Social Media, Digital Outreach and Web Communities since “Web 1.0” – truly before there was an “App for that”, there was AppTheory.
In 2007, Trend Influence sold an equity stake to MDC Partners, an Agency holding group with investments in other high profile agencies such as Crispin, Porter + Bogusky and Kirshenbaum, Bond and Partners. In late 2009, Trend Influence merged with Fetcher Martin (a full service Ad Agency also in the MDC Partners Family) dropping the Fletcher Martin moniker and taking the number of Trend Influence global employees over 100.
In May of 2010, Bryan sold his interests in Trend Influence and spun off the AppTheory division to focus the entity on innovating, developing and managing web based products, brands and IP. Today, AppTheory continues to work with Trend Influence as strategic partners on many initiatives including Tresemme, Arby’s and other Trend Influence online projects.
We Develop Ideas

To an Entrepreneur: We are a trusted partner who will build and manage the operations while the founders do what they do best (grow the company).
To an Investor: We are a trusted agent with a proven record of delivering for our clients and protecting investments.
How We Do It
Great project managers and team members, a scalable team model, and lean / agile principles. We are technology and platform agnostic, though we REALLY like Amazon AWS, Microsoft.net, DotNetNuke and SharePoint!
We often work on a project basis, but our favorite clients and the healthiest relationships are based on extended retainers.
We periodically invest in the products / brands we are developing.
